Cartier Santos 100 watches are part of the Santos series of Cartier watches named for the Brazilian aviator, Alberto Santos-Dumont. In 1904, he had complained to his friend Louis Cartier about the lack of reliability of pocket watches, and was answered with the first mens wristwatch ever manufactured.
